Brian lowered his eyelids and was silent. He did not immediately answer Jason.

Jason’s voice once again rang in the private room. “Does your breakup with Evelyn have anything to do with Grace?”

Brian’s hands trembled almost unnoticeably. It was a subtle gesture, but Jason noticed it.

Jason’s eyes darkened slowly, and an almost stagnant vibe pervaded the private room.

Listening to the director’s criticisms, Evelyn could only nod her head in response. She felt a sense of resentment in her heart.
