“You keep smiling foolishly as you look at our daughter. Others will think you’re possessed,” teased Grace.

“Hehe! My daughter’s my savior. I have to take good care of her,” said Lina as she could not help kissing the baby’s face again. “I keep having a feeling that my baby’s special. She charmed the mysterious boy from the Hunter family when she was still in my belly. Would they have a fairy-tale-like love story in the future?”

Grace could not help but be impressed with her best friend’s imagination. However, thanks to her best friend’s optimism, she did not dwell on it. If it were someone else, they would be crying their eyes out about the engagement every day.

“How do you know that your daughter charmed that boy?” asked Grace.

Lina said, “Isn’t that what happens in s and movies? The child has good looks too. Few boys are that good-

looking. As long as he doesn’t turn out ugly, it won’t be difficult for my daughter to fall in love with him. I just don’t know how mysterious the Hunter family is. Do they have a lot of family rules? It’ll seem troublesome if they do!”

Grace chuckled. “Don’t get too far ahead of yourself. We don’t know what will happen in the future. But if Tina really doesn’t like the boy from the Hunter family, we’ll find a way to break off the engagement. We’ll find a way no matter what.”

“But it isn’t easy to find one who is better-looking than that boy,” said Lina.

Grace was speechless. “Do you think looks will matter to Tina as much as they matter to you?”

“Maybe.” The two women chatted and laughed. “Oh yes, you’re getting discharged tomorrow, aren’t you?”

“Yeah, I’m bored to death in the hospital. I’m finally getting discharged!” Lina’s expression looked like she was liberated.

“How about I bring the kids to your place this weekend? Jasper keeps asking about meeting the baby, said Grace.

Lina said, “Sure, Kyla also said she would bring Nelson to my place this weekend. We can get together. Hehe! Oh yes. You don’t have to come over and help when I discharge from the hospital tomorrow. My parents and Hadwin will be around tomorrow. It’ll be chaotic if there are too many people around.”

“Okay, got it. Just focus on your confinement! I’ll see you this weekend!” Grace said with a smile.

By the end of the week, Grace brought the triplets, William, and Veronica Barlow-a total of five children-to Lina’s place. Lina looked at the five children and could not help saying to her best friend with a smile. “With all these kids out here at once, people will think you run a kindergarten.”

Grace looked at the row of children standing behind her and smiled. She did seem like she ran a kindergarten.

“Grace, there you are!” said Kyla as she stepped forward.

“Kyla. Hey, where’s Nelson?” Grace saw no sign of Nelson.

“He’s on the second floor looking at Tina. He’ll be down in a minute,” said Kyla.

Sure enough, Nelson Corbyn soon came down from the stairway.

When Jasper saw Nelson Corbyn, she immediately ran to Nelson with enthusiasm. After Nelson Corbyn walked down the stairs, she hugged Nelson Corbyn and shouted enthusiastically.

“Nelson!”

Nelson Corbyn naturally picked Jasper up. Although he was only nine years old, he had grown stronger from his training, recently. He did not feel tired even when he picked Jasper up.

“Hehe!” Jasper wrapped her arms around Nelson’s neck as she giggled and kissed him on his face to show affection.

The little one liked to show affection to people she liked by kissing them.

Of course, now that the children were older, Grace had also taught her daughter that kissing was for family and friends-not outsiders.

However, Jasper clearly classified Nelson Corbyn as her family and friend.

The nine-year-old Nelson Corbyn had a better understanding of gender awareness. He instantly blushed when Jasper kissed him.

“Nelson, why are you blushing?” Jasper looked at Nelson Corbyn in confusion. Her eyes moved. Then, she kissed Nelson Corbyn’s cheek several times as if she had discovered a secret.

Nelson Corbyn’s face turned even redder.

“Mommy, Nelson’s face is so red!” Jasper turned her head and said to Grace.

Grace could not help laughing. Lina and Kyla also laughed, so Nelson Corbyn blushed even more. Meanwhile, Jasper laughed even more. Melodious laughter filled the room.

The other children did not seem to have much of a reaction, except for William, who looked down when he saw Jasper Reed’s smile and Nelson Corbyn’s flushed cheeks.

‘Does Jasper… like Nelson Corbyn? Jasper looks so happy every time she sees Nelson Corbyn.

‘Jasper keeps talking about how good Nelson is. It’s as if he has no flaws.

‘If there’s a flaw, it’s only that Nelson Corbyn can’t hear and he needs hearing aids. Hearing aids can help him hear but not experience music, which became Jasper’s regret as well.

‘She once said, ‘I hope Nelson can hear how amazing music sounds like for ordinary people one day. I’ll play something great for Nelson. Maybe he’ll think it sounds good!”

Besides, after finding out yesterday that she would see Nelson Corbyn today, Jasper kept talking about Nelson the entire night. She also took out her beautiful dress and asked him if she looked good in it and whether Nelson would like it, which made William feel uncomfortable:

He did not want her to care so much about Nelson.

He only wished that she would care about him alone!

Just then, Nelson Corbyn put Jasper down and politely walked forward to say hello to Grace and the other children.

However, when he greeted William, William turned his head away and did not respond to Nelson Corbyn.

Nelson Corbyn did not take it to heart either. He smiled and said to Lina, “Aunt Lina, why don’t I take them to see Tina?”

“Sure,” said Lina. She had confinement nannies and maids looking after her daughter, so she did not have to worry much.

Therefore, Nelson Corbyn led the group of children up the stairs.

Lina looked at the impressive team and could not help laughing while saying, “Once Kyla’s baby is born, the group of children will get bigger. There’ll be eight children in total. How interesting it’ll be when that time comes!”

“By the way, Kyla, how did your consultation go?” Grace asked with concern. Lina also quickly pricked up her ears.

Kyla then told the two the results of her consultation.

“Are you going to continue the pregnancy and deliver the baby through C-section?” asked Grace.

“Yeah,” answered Kyla.

“Did Martin Weiss say anything?”

“He… didn’t have any comments,” Kyla said after a moment’s hesitation. She did not want to tell her two best friends about how she was forced onto the operating table. After all, nothing happened in the end, and… she also did not want to worry her two best friends.

“We just want you to be safe!” said Grace.

Lina said, “Yeah, don’t be like me. I almost died. Hadwin and I talked about having another baby yesterday, but he refuses to let me have any more. I think he’s a little paranoid after having this one.”

“Has Hadwin Stephenson found out anything regarding the matter of you getting injected with poison when you were delivering the baby?” Grace recalled this and asked, “Let me know if you’re lacking manpower for this investigation. Jay has several experts in this area.”

“Thanks, but Hadwin already has some leads. We only know who injected me, and we don’t know who’s behind this.

We don’t want to alert them, so we plan to find a way to lure the culprit out,” said Lina.

Grace thought about it and agreed. After all, they could only solve this issue by finding the culprit.
