The baby’s crying seemed to make the little boy’s expression change.
He stared at the crying baby. After quite some time, he finally stepped forward to take the baby from Hadwin Stephenson’s arms.
Hadwin Stephenson froze but did not stop the boy. He carefully handed him his daughter.
There was something indescribably sweet about the seven-year-old boy holding the tiny baby.
The baby girl continued to cry, and the little boy frowned. “Why does she keep crying?”
“It’s because she’s hungry and needs milk,” said Grace, while Jason asked someone to fetch the baby’s milk from the nurse.
Moments later, a 30-milliliter milk bottle was brought over.
The little boy picked up the bottle and began feeding the baby milk. He was awfully unskilled as he fed the baby milk. Grace and Kyla guided him.
When the baby went back to sleep after finishing the milk, the little boy asked, “What’s her name?”
“Tina Stephenson,” said Hadwin Stephenson. Lina and he had decided on the name before their baby was born.
“Tina…” the little boy muttered as he stared at the baby’s sleeping face. “I can save her mother, but Tina’s mine after I save her.”
The crowd looked at the boy in surprise.
The boy continued mumbling, “If the only way to be with Tina is to get married, then I’ll marry her when she grows up. She can’t marry anyone but me! I’ll save her if you agree!”
“Young Master, do you really want to save her?” Uncle Andy was surprised.
The little boy ignored Uncle Andy. He just looked at Hadwin Stephenson. “Do you agree to that?”
Hadwin Stephenson was shocked.
If he agreed, would his daughter have to marry this boy in the future? He knew nothing about the boy. If he agreed, he would bind his daughter to this boy for life.
If she did not like him and liked someone else, then he…
However, the child before him was his last hope to save Lina. He could not let Lina become a vegetable and lie on the bed for the rest of her life.
“Okay! If you can save Lina, then I’ll let Tina marry you after she grows up!” said Hadwin Stephenson as he gave him his word.
The little boy nodded. “Then lead the way!”
They hurried to Lina’s ward with the little boy.
The little boy looked at Lina, who was lying on the hospital bed. Her face was pale, while all sorts of equipment were attached to her body. She looked half-dead.
“Take off all the equipment!” the little boy said.
The crowd looked at each other. In the end, Hadwin Stephenson found a nurse to remove the equipment attached to Lina’s body.
The little boy opened his hand to Uncle Andy.
Uncle Andy understood and asked for a clean bowl. Then, he took out a dagger and said to the little boy, “Young Master, bear with it.”
“I got it!” the little boy said impatiently.
The dagger cut the boy’s forearm while carefully avoiding the meridians. Blood gushed out and dripped into the bowl. Uncle Andy only stopped the bleeding and bandaged the boy when the bowl was half full.
“Feed her this blood. It should help,” the little boy said. Then, he said something that shocked everyone. “She had difficulty delivering because someone injected a substantial amount of toxins into her body that made it difficult for her to give birth. But the toxins metabolized quickly. It’s difficult to detect in blood tests.”
“What?” Hadwin Stephenson seemed startled, not expecting this to be the reason for his wife’s difficult labor.
‘Injected toxins? Who is it? Was it the hospital’s doctors or nurses? Or was it the person taking care of Lina?’
Countless speculation flashed through Hadwin Stephenson’s mind for a moment.
The little boy seemed very pale and a little weak.
Uncle Andy quickly picked up the little boy to leave.
your However, Uncle Andy said to Hadwin Stephenson before leaving, “Don’t forget your promise today. If you break promise, the entire Hunter family will make the Stephenson family suffer!”
After they left, the crowd in the ward seemed to finally regain their senses. Hadwin Stephenson looked at the bowl in his hand that was half-filled with blood. He carefully fed Lina the blood without any hesitation.
He would find out whoever tried to hurt Lina!
He was careless back then, causing Lina to get seriously hurt and lay in the ICU ward while he had to give in to the Jackson family! Now, he was careless yet again.
He thought he had prepared everything, but there was still a loophole and it was enough to kill Lina!
Little by little, Lina drank the blood.
He thought it would take a long time to feed Lina the blood but it only took a short while. In the end, Lina seemed to be instinctively attracted by the blood as she started swallowing herself even though she was in a coma.
After Lina finished drinking the blood, Hadwin Stephenson carefully wiped his wife’s lip and looked at her expectantly.
Grace and Kyla seemed to be holding their breaths, fearing that the blood would not work.
Although the little boy was considered their last hope, could his blood save Lina? They could not be sure until they saw Lina wake up.
Fortunately, after about ten minutes, Lina’s eyelashes quivered slightly. Then, she slowly opened her eyes as everyone watched her.
There was a look of surprise on Hadwin Stephenson’s face. “Lina, you’re awake? You’re awake!”
Lina seemed to be stuck in a trance. Looking at the disheveled Hadwin Stephenson, she said hoarsely after a while, “Why did you become uglier when I’ve just… given birth…
Where’s the baby? How’s… the baby?”
“The baby’s fine. She’s fine… She’s very fine!” Hadwin Stephenson pretty much babbled while Jason had someone call the doctors and nurses to check on Lina.
After all this, it was nearly midnight.
The doctor gave Lina a preliminary examination and said that the patient was doing well.
Lina fell asleep again after staying awake for half an hour.
It made Hadwin Stephenson nervous. He was scared that his wife would never wake up again.
“It probably won’t happen again. Since the boy was confident that his blood could wake Lina up and save her, it won’t lose its effect so soon. Lina is just a little tired from having woken up not long ago. She should wake up again after a nap.” Grace comforted Hadwin Stephenson.
Even so, Hadwin Stephenson still stayed at Lina’s bedside nervously.
“Thank you for today. Go home first. I’ll accompany Lina,” said Hadwin Stephenson.
“Get some sleep too. You haven’t slept well in days.” She heard Mr. Sweeney and Mrs. Sweeney say that Hadwin Stephenson would sometimes lie on Lina’s hospital bed to take a nap. He would wake up after half an hour or an hour.
