Jason consoled her. “Don’t blame yourself. You were focused on Lina and her baby. Besides, we’ll find the boy as long as he hasn’t left Emerald City!”

“But I’m afraid the longer we wait, the harder it’s gonna be for Lina to wake up!” said Grace.

The little boy’s existence had been Hadwin Stephenson’s hope, but after the past few days, she could feel Hadwin Stephenson getting enveloped in despair again.

“But from your description of that child, he seems particularly concerned about Lina’s baby,” Jason said suddenly.

“Yes, when Lina’s baby was kicking intensely, the child suddenly appeared. He only put his hand on Lina’s belly and the baby calmed down. During the delivery, the baby would have suffocated if the child hadn’t sucked the remaining secretion out of her,” said Grace. Suddenly she seemed to think of something, “Yes… Since the child cares about the baby so much, maybe we could try luring the child out with the baby?”

If they could not find him, they could lure him out!

Jason’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he said with a smile, “We can try.”

After that, the newspapers published news saying that Stephenson Group’s Hadwin Stephenson’s newborn daughter was in critical condition and was currently undergoing rescue. The news went viral online.

After the news was published, one tall and one short figure appeared in the intensive care unit of the neonatal department late at night.

“You really came.” Grace looked at the little boy in front of her.

He was followed by the middle-aged man she had met before.

The little boy looked at the people before him. His beautiful eyes blinked as if he just realized  it. “So you’re the ones who published the news. Were you trying to lure me out?”

“Yes. We couldn’t find you, so this was the only way we could try to get you to come,” said Grace.

“So the baby isn’t in critical condition?” the little boy asked.

Grace replied, “The baby is doing well so far. We lured you out in hopes that you can save the baby’s mother. She has been in a coma since she left the delivery room and has not woken up. You were able to wake her up in the delivery room for her to give birth to the baby. Is there any way you can wake her up now?”

Grace spoke carnestly. Almost all hope was now on this mysterious little boy. “As long as you can save Lina, we’ll try to agree to anything you want.”

However, the little boy only uttered two words coldly, “I refuse.” He seemed to not care about Lina’s life or death at all.

With that said, the little boy said to the man in his 40s who was following him, “Uncle Andy, I’d like to go home.”

“Okay, shall we go, then?” the man called Uncle Andy replied.

The two turned around to leave, and Jason’s voice rang faintly. “I’m so sorry, but you can’t leave today.”

“What’s the matter? Are you going to stop us?” Uncle Andy asked coldly.

“Yes,” Jason said bluntly as he looked at the little boy, “You said refuse. So it’s not that you can’t save Lina but it’s because you won’t save her, right?”

you The little boy glared at Jason as he pressed his little pink lips together tightly.

“Then tell me what it’ll take for you to save her?” asked Jason.

“You’re dreaming if you think you can ask our young master to save someone irrelevant. If she wasn’t pregnant with…” Uncle Andy seemed to realize something and immediately stopped speaking.

The little boy’s childish yet cold voice rang out. “I won’t save her. What does it matter to me whether this woman lives or dies?” With that said, he said to the man beside him again, “Uncle Andy, let’s go.”

However, they had only taken a few steps when a group of people suddenly gathered around them and blocked their way!

These people were obviously Jason’s men.

“What’s the matter? Are you trying to overwhelm us with numbers? Jason, didn’t the elders of the Reed family tell you not to touch the Hunter family?” Uncle Andy snapped.

Jason’s eyes narrowed instantly. “The Hunter family…’

Speaking of which, Old master Reed had mentioned ‘the Hunter family’ before. It was a secretive family. If the Reed family was out in the open, the Hunter family was in the dark.

Even Old master Reed could not say for sure how powerful the Hunter family was, but he once warned him not to have any conflict with the Hunter family unless necessary.

“Yes, but so what?” Jason smiled faintly. Old master Reed had said ‘unless necessary’, and it was necessary now. If Lina did fall into a vegetative state, then Grace would probably never be happy again.

All he wanted to do was make Grace happy.

“Are you trying to make an enemy out of the Hunter family?” Uncle Andy’s eyes flickered with surprise.

Jason knew about the Hunter family but still dared to stop them. Lina, the person in the coma, was no one important to Jason. She was only a friend of Jason’s wife.

“If your young master resolutely refuses to save Lina, then maybe we can only be enemies,” Jason said firmly.

“Jason, do you really think you rule Emerald City? Don’t underestimate the Hunter family!” said Uncle Andy as his face darkened.

“Then what if the Weiss family joins in?” said Martin Weiss.

Kyla, who had been silent, looked at Martin Weiss in surprise. She did not expect Martin Weiss to say such a thing.

Uncle Andy looked a little grimmer.

They reached a stalemate. Just then, Hadwin Stephenson came in holding the baby. He came up to the little boy.

The tiny baby was sleeping soundly.

When the baby appeared, the little boy looked at her.

“I beg you to save my wife!” said Hadwin Stephenson. His clothes were wrinkly while his chin was covered with stubble. He had not washed his hair for days either. He looked extremely dejected.

His voice was hoarse after not speaking for days.

“Why should I save her? She’s nobody to me,” the little boy said indifferently. His indifference seemed to exude from his core. It did not match his age at all.

“But she’s my everything. You showed up and helped my wife deliver our baby that day. Save her again. I’ll do anything as long as you’re willing to save her!” Hadwin Stephenson begged. The boy was his last hope!

“I wasn’t trying to save her that day. I was saving the baby,” the little boy mumbled.

Sure enough! The others instantly understood when they heard the boy say this.

Kyla suddenly said to the little boy, “Save the baby’s mother, then. How sad will the baby be if she has no mother?”

“Is not having a mother something to be sad over?” The little boy looked puzzled as if the idea of family bonds was unfamiliar to him.

“Yes, she’ll be very sad! You’ve met the baby’s mother, haven’t you? You’ve talked to her before. She’s a good woman. The baby will be so happy to have her raise her!” said Kyla. At this point, they could only play the baby card.

Hopefully, this little boy cared enough about the baby!

Just then, Hadwin Stephenson suddenly knelt to the little boy!

His action surprised everyone. Even the little boy looked at him in surprise.

“I beg you to save my wife!” Hadwin Stephenson sobbed as he begged. He must not let go of his last hope!

Just then, the baby in the man’s arms woke up and began to cry.
