“You went to see him?” Grace was surprised. She also knew that Hadwin Stephenson had come to Emerald City two days ago.

“He appeared in front of me. I don’t know whether it was a coincidence, so I’m a little confused too.”

Lina immediately said, “What does that mean? I thought it was a display item and no fittings are allowed.”

“That lady is a VIP customer here, so she can try it on even if it’s a display item,” the sales a**istant said coldly. She did not think Grace and Lina had much spending power.

She just thought it was a waste of time to serve them. Moreover, Miss Lynch had made an appointment with her and was going to come to the boutique later. Miss Lynch was the important customer she wanted to serve.

Therefore, the sales a**istant could not wait to get rid of Grace and Lina.

“Aren’t you being opportunistic? It’s customer discrimination!” snapped Lina.

However, the sales a**istant spoke confidently, “We only provide services to people who can afford the gowns here. If you become our boutique’s VIP customers, then you can also try on these display items.”

“You…” Lina wanted to swear.

Grace calmed her best friend and then said, “Please get your manager over.”

“What’s the matter? Are you trying to make a complaint?” she asked somewhat disdainfully. She hated people who pretended they were rich when they had no money! She was not afraid of such complaints anyway. She had an important customer like Miss Lynch. Even the manager had to be polite to her.

Grace glanced at the name tag pinned to their chest. They were a junior sales a**istant, probably someone who had just started working in the boutique.

She smiled and briefly told them what she was looking for as well as the colors she liked. The rookie sales a**istant started helping Grace look for suitable gowns.

Lina said, “That’s it? That staff member earlier wasn’t even remotely professional.”

Grace said, “That person isn’t even afraid of complaints. If she’s not afraid, why bother? Don’t worry, she’ll be sorry in a minute.”

Lina appeared to be thinking about something.

Just then, the rookie sales a**istant came over and told Grace that there were several gowns that would suit her. Grace looked at the photo of the gown the sales a**istant showed to her. It was a black gown that looked elegant and mysterious. Due to the diamond inlays, the black dress did not look monotonous. One could even call it dazzling.

It was the perfect gown for her first appearance in five years! Lina said with amazement, “Wow, Grace! It’s even better than the silver one you had your eye on earlier.”

“I’ll take it. I like it and I want to try it on,” said Grace.

“Okay, wait a minute, please,” the sales a**istant said.

After a while, they brought the black dress over and led Grace to the fitting room. Lina sat in a chair in the lounge and waited.

Just then, Lina saw a figure walk into the boutique. The sales a**istant who had mistreated them earlier greeted them with a respectful and warm attitude.

“Miss Lynch, you’re here. I’ve been waiting for you. What do you plan to buy today?”

“I came to look at the gowns. I saw a black limited edition gown that looked pretty good in the brochure you sent me,” said Irene Lynch as she enjoyed the sales a**istant’s meticulous service.

She was the boss here, and these people had to respect her. She could now afford the things she could not afford before.

She was also qualified to buy the limited edition items from these luxury brands!

“Okay, have a seat. Let me show you the dress first,” the sales a**istant said.

Irene Lynch went to the lounge area. She frowned a little when she saw Lina. She recognized that she was the same friend who was with Grace last time.

“What are you doing here?” asked Irene Lynch.

Lina shrugged and asked, “If you can be here, why can’t I?”

“This isn’t a place for the likes of you,” Irene Lynch said arrogantly.

Lina said as if amused, “What’s the matter? Are you superior to me? What you have now is just because your daughter became the adopted daughter of the Reed family. Before that, did you come from a better family, have a better education, better career, or better income than me?”

Honestly speaking, Irene Lynch was just an ordinary citizen before this. She was not any better than Lina!

Irene Lynch’s face looked extremely grim. She picked up the gla** of water the sales a**istant had poured for her and wanted to splash it on Lina.
