Back then, he would tempt her with all his might so she would indulge in it.

Now, she was the one taking the initiative.

She knew what to do to make him happy. She knew how his body was going to react. Even though he had forgotten her, his body remained the same.

Grace was exhausted in the end. Jason even carried her into the bathroom to clean up.

She could barely move her fingers as he washed her.

Jason looked at the bruises and red marks on her body. They were the traces he had left behind.

His body craved her more than he could have imagined. Even when she lay upon him, every cell in his body seemed to be clamoring and longing for her.

That night, Grace felt like they were back to how they were back then-intimate. However, she was more of the one who took the initiative this lime.

It was like rain after a long drought. He longed for her.

She was probably the only one who could make him take care of her like this!

Just as he put her in a bathrobe and carried her out of the bathroom to go back into the room, she leaned on his chest and muttered, “Jay, do you… know how much I love you? There’s really nothing going on between Brian and me…”

His thin lips pressed slightly. “Is that all you have to say?”

Jason put Grace on the bed. “Grace, you used to be my wife.

Since I loved you before, I can also love you now.”

She looked delighted. “Are you going to love me?”

He said, “Yes. But you can’t betray me, let alone leave me as easily as you did back then. Understand?”

As she looked at him, she could not help raising her hand and touching his eyes, which were like the stars at night.

Though her arm ached as she raised it, she still wanted to touch him.

‘Betray… He had also said the same thing back then in front of his father’s memorial tablet in Reed Residence’s mourning hall, wanting her to never betray him.

‘Is he afraid what happened to his parents would happen to us?’

“Jay, I must have left you because I had to.” Her fingers ran gently over his eyes, which were the most beautiful part of his face that resembled his mother.

“We’re not your parents. I won’t betray you. I’ll never do it, and… it’ll never happen,” she spoke solemnly, her face looking earnest.

It was her promise and oath.

There was a slight sparkle in his eyes. ‘Does she… know about my parents? That’s true. It’s not surprising she knows if I loved her before.!

“Then prove it to me with the rest of your life.” He gently pulled her hand down and held it in his palm, feeling the slightly deformed joints of her fingers.

“Okay,” she replied.

In the following days, Jasper’s kindergarten enrollment procedures were all completed. She and Mick would be attending the same kindergarten and were also arranged to be in the same cla**.

Jasper could not be happier after knowing she could be in the same kindergarten as her brother.

Mick Reed solemnly promised his parents that he would take good care of his sister in kindergarten and never let others bully her.

Looking at her son’s solemn appearance, Grace found him pretty adorable. Her son was also a little kid. If anything happened, he would probably need others to protect him.

However, Grace was happy that the siblings were getting along.

“Can Daddy go with me on my first day of kindergarten?” Jasper Reed’s eyes stared intently at Jason with an obvious longing.

Jason seemingly raised his eyebrows with slight surprise. “Do you want me to accompany you?”

“Because a lot of kids’ dads go to kindergarten with them on the first day of school!” said Jasper Reed. Although it was not her first day of school, it was her first day of kindergarten!

She previously only had her mother to accompany her. Now, she finally had a father as well… She wanted her father and mother to accompany her like everyone else.

The little one could not wait to experience what it was like to have her father accompany her.

“Let’s go to the kindergarten together tomorrow,” said Jason. Jasper was instantly delighted and opened her arms, wanting her father to hug her.

Jason pressed his thin lips together tightly. He was a little uncomfortable with his daughter’s initiative. After all, his son was not clingy.

However, facing his daughter’s almond-shaped eyes that were similar to Grace’s, Jason still bent down and picked her The little one put her arms around Jason’s neck and kissed him on the cheek. “Thank you, Daddy. Daddy’s the best.”

Her soft and young voice seemed to touch the tender part at the bottom of his heart.

she had been raising her daughter as a single mother all this while. Her daughter grew up without a father, so she naturally longed for him more.

Her eyes fell on her son nearby. ‘Does Mick also long for his mother? Does he want his mother standing by his side on special occasions as well?’

“Mick.” Grace opened her arms to her son. “Do you want me to hug you?”

The little one said somewhat uneasily, “I’m not my sister.”

However, there was a longing in the little one’s eyes.

Grace smiled, picked up her son, and kissed him on the cheek. “I’ll send you and your sister to kindergarten every day from now on, okay?”

The little one blinked and asked suddenly, “Is it because she’s going to kindergarten?” ‘Is Mommy just sending me too because she’s sending her?’

“No, it’s because of both of you. Even if Jasper isn’t going to kindergarten, I’ll still send you all the same.”

She had too many things to deal with as soon as she came back. Although she had finished some work on hand before coming here, there were still some follow-up problems to deal with.

Besides, she had to adapt to living in Reed Residence again after five years and understand how things and people had changed in the last five years… She had forgotten to think about how her daughter was probably expecting both her parents to accompany her to kindergarten, her son too.

As far as she knew, Jason and their son would go out together but they would travel in two separate cars most of the time. This meant that their son was usually accompanied by the maid and driver.

With that in mind, Grace was filled with guilt and regretted her carelessness.

Mick Reed was a little uncomfortable being held like this. After all, he had rarely been held like this after growing up. ‘But… it seems comfortable… to have Mommy hold me like this…!
