Jessanna’s expression got even darker. She snapped, “Did Flossie ask you to come here?”

“No. I came to see you on my own. Miss Flossie doesn’t know about this.”

Margaret went straight to the point. “I came to see you today because I hope that I can convince you to do what’s best for everyone, which is to leave Mr. Guajardo. Mr. Guajardo and Miss Flossie are still in love. You won’t be happy being with Mr. Guajardo.”
