Jason gave some orders to the caregiver and bodyguards outside. Just then, Terrence hurried over. “Master Reed, I have something.”
Jason’s eyes shimmered slightly, and he waved his hand to the caregiver nearby. The caregiver hurried into the room to look after Grace.
Outside the room, Jason looked at Terrence. “What is it?”
“We found Secretary Wang,” said Terrence.
Jason was stunned. “Where is he?”
Terrence said, “We found him at Old Master Reed’s tomb. He went to pay his respects. He tried to escape after he was found, but our men stopped him. He’s being held in a house not far from the cemetery. Do you want to see him, Master Reed?”
“Of course, I want to see him. After all, he was the closest person to Old Master Reed,” Jason said coldly. Secretary Wang had not been seen nor was there any news of him in these few days. Hence, something must be going on with his sudden appearance.
Besides, Jason wondered if Secretary Wang had anything to do with Lily’s escape.
He had a feeling that all these incidents were too coincidental.
“Come on,” said Jason as he walked toward the stairs.
Terrence quickly followed him.
Moments later, a black Bentley slowly pulled away from Reed
Residence.
The car drove to a mansion near the cemetery. As soon as Jason got off, someone quickly stepped forward and said, “Master Reed, he’s inside, but he won’t say anything. He said he won’t say anything until he sees you.”
“Lead the way,” Jason ordered coldly.
He immediately led the way for Jason and they soon came to one of the rooms.
Secretary Wang was sitting on a chair. His face was a little blueish and red after getting beaten up earlier.
After Jason walked in, a smile appeared on Secretary Wang’s swollen face. “There you are. I’d like to ask what’s the reason for capturing me all of a sudden, Young Master. I’ve done you no wrong!”
“No wrong?” Jason raised his eyebrows slightly. “Didn’t you email Brian the truth about the case on behalf of Old Master Reed?”
“That was Old Master Reed’s order,” said Secretary Wang.
“Was helping Lily escape Old Master Reed’s order too?” Jason seemed to ask nonchalantly.
Secretary Wang showed an innocent expression. “I don’t understand what you mean, Young Master. Has Lily… escaped? I only know from the news that she was detained by the police
Jason narrowed his dark eyes and stared at Secretary Wang. “Is that so? You didn’t know she escaped?”
“No, I didn’t,” Secretary Wang insisted and said.
“Okay. You told my men that you wouldn’t say anything until you saw me, so why don’t you tell me right now what you wanted to say?” said Jason.
“Old Master Reed said if Grace found out the truth after his death but chose to stay with you, then he’d like to make a bet with you.”
“A bet?” Jason was stunned for a moment.
Secretary Wang said, “Yes, a bet! Young Master, Old Master Reed wants to bet whether you’re willing to give up your life for a woman just like your father previously did.”
Jason’s expression sank immediately. “What does this mean?” After all, the old master was no longer around. Besides, how was he going to bet on such a thing?
Secretary Wang tugged the corners of his lips, smiling without saying a word. However, it was a bit creepy when he showed such a smile on his battered and swollen face.
“Tell me, what do you mean?” Jason’s voice was deep. His cold and indifferent gaze suddenly sharpened.
Secretary Wang said, “Young Master, you’ll find out when the time comes. Old Master Reed only hoped you could bear in mind your father’s lesson-to die for a woman is to die for nothing.”
“You have no right to say what will become of me!” Jason stepped forward and grabbed Secretary Wang’s collar. “You’d better tell me what Old Master Reed told you to do, or you’ll only suffer.”

“Contact the people at the residence immediately and ask them to ascertain Grace’s status. Also, enhance the security near the bedroom,” ordered Jason.
“Yes!” Terrence replied immediately.
He hurriedly took his phone to call the mansion’s chief of security and began to give orders.
However, moments later, Terrence’s face suddenly paled. He panicked and said to Jason urgently, “Oh no, Master Reed! Young Madam is missing!”
“What?” Jason suddenly grabbed Terrence’s phone and asked the person on the other end of the line sternly, “What’s the matter? Where’s Young Madam? Is she no longer in the residence?”
A frightened and stammering voice sounded from the other end of the line. “We… went to Young Madam’s room. Huang Qian and the caregiver had pa**ed out in the room, and Young Madam was nowhere to be seen. There’s no surveillance camera… in the bedroom, but the surveillance cameras outside show that Young Madam never left the bedroom. Also, there was a lingering smell of knockout drops… in the bedroom.”
“Find her! Find Young Madam even if you have to turn the whole house upside down!” said Jason as he threw the phone back to Terrence. He stared at Secretary Wang as if he were about to kill him. He used a hand to grab the older man by the hair as he pushed him against the wall.
“Speak, what have you done with Grace? I’ll kill you if anything happens to her!” With a thump, Secretary Wang’s head hit the wall hard.
However, Secretary Wang laughed. “Young Master, I won’t tell you even if you kill me. You’ll know when the time comes!”
“Speak!” Jason aggressively slammed Secretary Wang’s head against the wall. At the moment, all he could think about was Grace.
Horrified, Terrence looked at his boss who had intense rage on his
